Concho Apache Co Arizona Mr. M. S. Greer1 April the 16, 1894 Dear Bro. and family I received a letter that you wrote to Nat Greer2 in Los Angeles Cal. in regard to the Power Attorney I did not know that the son-in law and the daughter-in law had to sign it you bro. S. D. Greer3 wrote to me over a year ago to get you to attend to it the selling of the land but I guess there is not much left I thought the land was fixed so it could not be taken away from us I wanted you to do with the land as if it was you own sell it if you can I thought last year I would go down to Texas see what I could do about it but it cost something to travel, do you know how the wall is around my mothers4 and children5 graves is it crumble down or is it good yet you see and let me know, well Babe I am getting old you would not know me now and my family is getting scattered all over the world Nat went to Los Angeles to get him a home but he taken the Asthma and he is coming back Oasis Blassinghame6 [page 2] in South Dakota and Dessie Drew7 lives in Mesa City arizona Richard D Greer8 and John H Greer9 and Lacy Greer10 and their family live in St. Johns and Gillbert11 family lives in St. Johns to Gillberts oldest child Laure12 lives with me She is in her 16th year She is very much like her Father I will send you her Photo. as soon I have some taken Ann Terry Greer13 is in Provo Utah going to school she will be home the last of May she will graduate in one more year Maggie Ellen14 my youngest will go back to school next Aug. and stay until she graduates May Pulsipher15 lives in Concho in one block of me I have 30 grand children liveing and 3 dead Tommy16 my oldest grand son Nats boy is in the military school in Denver Col. well Babe I would like to see you and Sophia17 and your girls18 and boys19 and I think you might come we would your all welcome to the best we have I have sold my cattle I am selling unbroken young horses for 15 fifteen dollars per head and saddle horses 20-25 and 30 dollars per. head I want to get out of the stock buiness give my love to wife and boys and girls write to me I remain as ever your sister Ellen C Greer20 |
